José Gomes Fernandes, the original of the parish of Pindelo is an Architect, Doctor in Urbanism, and a University Professor, Columnist and writer of fiction.
He was President of the North Regional department of the Association of Architects of Portuguese, Councillor for Urbanism and Urban Rehabilitation of the municipality of Porto, the Secretary of State for spatial Planning and Environment and member of parliament, Member of the Municipal Assembly (assembleia Municipal de Oliveira de Azeméis.
He was a contributor to the supplement "Of Arts and Letters" from the newspaper "O primeiro de Janeiro".
Currently, he is permanent collaborator of the "JN – Jornal de Notícias" since 1976 and a Collaborator of the literary journal, "The Arts Between the Letters".
